There was no suffering, no disease, no death. Even the diet was vegatarian for man and animals (Gen. 1:29-30, and will be again, Isa. 11:7, 65:25). The Creator said, when He had completed creation, that it was very good. (Gen. 1:31) There was perfect harmony between the Creator and His creation. When sin entered into this perfect system everything became polluted. (Gen 3-4) Sin gained strength to the point the Creator had to wash the world in a great flood. Only Noah, his family and the land animals on the ark survived.(Gen. 6-9) The rejection of the One that offers rightousness, peace and joy (Rom 14:7) is at the root of all suffering. And it is often the weak and young who suffer most due to others self-centeredness. Jesus came to bring an end to sin (Rev 1:5), sickness (Mk 16:17-18), poverty (Deut 8:18, 2 Cor 8:9) and death (Jn 10:10, Rev 21:4). (Isa. 53, 1 John 3:8) As His body we also should be working toward the same goal. We must help where we can. In times of personal suffering we have an oppertunity to show our Lord's grace and power by offering a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, maintaining a Christ-like attitude and speaking of our living expectation of deliverance. (1 Pet. 3:15, Rev 21:4) In Christ we can have joy and peace in the midst of suffering. This also shows the stark contrast of those who have no hope but only misery. |

There is a standard of good and right and it is the duty of government to uphold them. |

Racism is worse today because evolution is so widely embraced. Before evolution slavery was conquest issue not a racial issue. We are back to a choice. Who do you believe: God or man? If you believe God you will love all people, in all places, as He does. |

The idea being that the days are symbolic of some unknown time period. One problem is that the ages can be however long some theorist requires to float their pet theory. I have yet to meet someone who believes that the days are not really days who didn't first believe in millions of years! They are guilty of making the Bible fit their beliefs instead of the other way around. Look at Exodus 20:11 where God wrote with His own finger on the stones that He made everything in six days and rested on the seventh day therefore you (Israelites) do the same.
